Preschool launches “Pollutoys”

A photographer visited the Preschool this morning to capture a special moment in the world of environmental education. The Onkaparinga Council Waste and Recycling Team chose our Preschool to launch this awesome new resource “Pollutoys” which teaches kids about plastic pollution using plush toys. Each toy has a pocket in their stomach full of items of plastic waste such as cutlery, bags, cups and bottles also made out of textiles.  Each toy also comes with a short story explaining how they got sick and how children can help them.

Lachie and Felicity did an amazing job in front of the camera! The article will be published in the January edition of the Onkaparinga Magazine which will come out with the Messenger.
