White Ribbon Day

Students and staff from Reynella East College attended the White Ribbon Breakfast at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Year 12 student and College captain, Hannah Gapps, displayed incredible leadership as part of the state-wide student forum discussing how we can help ‘Break the Silence’ associated with domestic violence, and help promote Respectful Relationships. Hannah and the other students that attended the breakfast were fantastic ambassadors and proudly represented the College.

At school today students have participated in activities to raise awareness about building respectful relationships and stopping violence against women including ‘wear it white’ and a QR code trail.

As a White Ribbon school we take our commitment to visibly working to build a future free from violence and abuse seriously, and we recognise the important role education plays in the prevention work toward this.
