The REC Senior Debating team had their first debate last Wednesday night against traditional rivals Aberfoyle. Our debaters were Kadence, Taliah and Andre with Riley as our debate chair. The topic was “That we should change the Australian Constitution to enable an Indigenous Voice to Parliament.”
We were on the affirmative side and it was a fierce debate that we ultimately and narrowly lost. Our students did us proud and were very professional and mature throughout the event.
Our next challenge is against Pembroke on May 31. We’ll be ready.
