Innovators Academy STEM satellites

Hello, we are the Year 7 and 8 Innovators Academy class and we just got a $4000 grant from the Andy Thomas Space Foundation to help us build RASCubes mini satellites.

We were lucky to get 3 of them which were provided by Launchbox by Fleet which means our class is part of the competition to launch them with a weather balloon which goes 18 to 37km high. We also get to compete with other schools’ STEM classes (which stands for Science, Tech, Engineering and Maths) from all around Australia to get to launch them on the weather balloon (but we will launch some of ours in rockets that we will make and maybe with some of the drones the school has).

We are so grateful for the Schools Pathways Program grant from the Australian government to do this for many schools. We are so excited to get to launch them even if we don’t win. We can’t wait to learn lots about space and tech. Big thanks to our teacher for doing this Mr Mathews. If you want to do stuff like this join Innovators Academy.
